  • Book keeper (2 hours per week)

-We’re looking for a Volunteer Bookkeeper to help keep our finances organised and up to date. If you have an eye for detail and some experience with QuickBooks, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Wardrobe Assistant

–  We need people to assist us in our giant wardrobe! From sorting donations, to ironing a pile of shirts, we have a job for you! Keeping the wardrobe in order is vital to the success of our service. Without regularly maintained stock, we are unable to give our clients the 1st class treatment they deserve!

We’re Recruiting Trustees! 

Are you passionate about empowering people, and helping others step confidently into employment? Do you love bringing people together, sparking ideas, and steering a team towards meaningful impact?

If so… we’d love to meet you!

The Suit Works is a small and well loved charity based in Sheffield. We provide free interview clothing and coaching to people who need a boost — helping them walk into job opportunities with pride, confidence, and a sense of possibility. And now, we’re looking for new Trustees to help guide our mission as we grow.

What makes this role exciting?

As a trustee you’ll be at the heart of everything we do. You’ll help shape our future, champion our values, and support our wonderful staff and volunteers. You’ll work alongside our dedicated Board who care deeply about the people we support. And you’ll be part of a charity that truly transforms lives every single week.

While the role is fun, fulfilling, and wonderfully people-centered, it also carries the important responsibilities of charity leadership. You’ll:

  • Ensure our governance is strong, ethical, and effective

  • Support and challenge the charity to stay focused, sustainable, and high-impact

  • Act as an ambassador for The Suit Works in the local community

  • Help us stay grounded in our purpose: empowering people to thrive

What we’re looking for
Someone warm, collaborative, and confident working with others. Someone excited about helping people into employment. Someone who understands the value of good governance — but also loves a charity that’s friendly, hands-on, and full of heart.

General Volunteers

  • Content Creator (minimum 5 hours per week)

– Creating and sharing posts of our amazing client stories, as well as creating campaigns for donations and fundraisers.

  • Events (minimum 4 hours per week)

–  Attend events on our behalf and help us spread awareness of what we do and how individuals can access our service. These can include include job fairs and community events. We also need your help in finding the best events to attend!

  • Fundraising (minimum 5 hours per week)

–  If you are looking for fundraising experience, we need individuals to assist with creating new ideas for raising funds to support our service.
