Trustees

Become a Suit Works Trustee. We are currently looking to expand our Board of Trustees and particularly welcome applications from less-represented groups. More information on our Volunteer page.

Alex Swallow, Chair
Having moved to Sheffield a few years ago, I wanted to get involved with an organisation that allowed me to learn more about the city and make a small contribution to it. Having worked in the charity sector for some years, I know the most effective charities don’t simply do things for people; they empower them to take action themselves. The Suit Works is a great example of a service helping others to take positive steps forward in life.

Steve Elwood, Treasurer
Working for the Cultural Industries Quarter, I worked with Vanda when they supported her when she was setting up The Suit Works. Having worked in the 3rd sector for 20 years, and seeing how valuable the service was, I knew I wanted to get involved. The role of treasurer was a natural fit due to my financial background. It’s great to be a part of a service that has supported so many people back into work.

Sharon Fudge, Trustee
I have 30 years experience in financial services, working closely with customers to help them grow and expand their business vision. I am an avid networker and love connecting with people. I became a trustee at The Suit Works as I believe the support they provide plays a huge part in helping individuals reach their full potential

Jan Harwood, Governance Trustee
Having had a career in the public services in a variety of roles and across many departments, I have always been aware of the difficulties people face when unemployed and looking for work. I joined The Suit Works to support the growth and ambition of the charity and its been a joy to see it flourish and to see the team help so many people on their journey to employment.
